Glenn Wilson:
A Pioneer for Michigan's Future

Originally born along the Maumee River in Toledo, Glenn Wilson embodies the American Dream with a journey that shaped him into a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Michigan.

Raised in the shadow of Metro Detroit's Air Corridor, Glenn's early life in Detroit laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial spirit. His father, a disabled veteran, instilled a strong work ethic in Glenn, buying him a bicycle repair book at the age of 9. This ignited Glenn's entrepreneurial journey, turning broken bicycle parts into functional bikes for cash.

By the age of 14, Glenn's hard work allowed him to purchase a 1965 Galaxy 500, which he and his father rebuilt from the ground up. His early experiences in Morley, including a two-year stint in the Michigan National Guard, shaped Glenn's values and commitment to service.

Glenn's pursuit of knowledge led him to Ferris State, where he studied Mechanical Engineering. His professor's wisdom, "Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance," became a mantra, later enriched by Glenn's addition of the "7th P, 'Period.'"

Entering the workforce, Glenn designed molds for Keeler Brass and scissor lifts in Subfield, showcasing his prowess in product design engineering. A pivotal moment came when he joined NuVu in Menominee, designing Bread Ovens for Subway. His skills attracted Symbol Technologies' attention, offering him a role in Costa Mesa, California, where Glenn excelled and earned the company's highest recognition.

In 1992, Glenn founded Custom Software in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, securing contracts with giants like GE Appliance Division. His innovative software solutions, including bar code operating systems, garnered accolades and corporate awards.

Glenn's entrepreneurial spirit expanded to internet services with Pagosa Worldwide and Durango World Wide, bringing the World Wide Web to Southwest Colorado. Simultaneously, he engineered software that revolutionized bar code technology, empowering small businesses.

Returning to Rose City, Michigan, Glenn founded M33 Access, battling government bureaucracy to provide internet services to the region. Undeterred, he was able to bring in the latest fiber optic technology, connecting homes in Northwest Michigan's Lower Peninsula.

To democratize internet access, Glenn developed Mapitright.com, a tool for small business internet service providers. His career exemplifies a commitment to bringing the World Wide Web to American homes, lowering costs for small businesses, and championing the American Dream.

Glenn Wilson stands as a modern pioneer, embodying the entrepreneurial spirit that defines America's greatness. He has taken on bureaucracies and special interests on behalf of the little guy – and won. His journey reflects the tenacity and innovation necessary for Michigan's future success.
